Version 0.3.0 - Updates Feed & Map Improvements
v0.3.0Introducing the updates feed, consistent state between sessions, and improved base layer with city labels and glaciers.
What's New in v0.3.0
We're excited to share several improvements to innmaps that make the experience more informative and consistent.
Introducing the Updates Feed
You're reading it right now! We've added an updates system to keep you informed about new features, improvements, and important changes to innmaps.
When we publish a new update, you'll see a notification the next time you open the map. You can also visit the updates page anytime to catch up on what you might have missed.
Consistent State Between Sessions
Your map preferences and settings are now preserved between sessions. When you return to innmaps, your:
- Layer preferences
- Map position and zoom level
- Selected overlays
- Settings choices
All persist automatically, so you can pick up right where you left off.
Improved Base Layer
We've enhanced the base map with better geographic context:
- City and Town Labels: Major cities, towns, and villages are now clearly labeled on the map, making it easier to orient yourself and understand the geography of the region
- Glacier Information: Glacier coverage is now visible on the base layer, helping you better understand the terrain and plan routes in glaciated areas
These improvements make it easier to navigate the Alps and understand the relationship between your planned routes and nearby settlements.
What's Next
We're continuously working to make innmaps better. Stay tuned for more updates as we enhance route planning tools, improve mobile performance, and expand our data coverage.
